Quick & tasty Chinese-style Longkou vermicelli recipe

Ingredient Checklist
- 1 (8 ounce) package dried rice noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ tablespoon chili sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 green onion, chopped
Directions
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add rice noodles, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until al dente; do not overcook, or they will become mushy. Drain.
Step 2
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic until tender. Stir in noodles, and season with soy sauce, chili sauce, salt and pepper. Sprinkle top with chopped green onion.
Longkou Vermicelli usage instructions
- Stir Fry – Add dry vermicelli to boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Drain. Add the soft vermicelli to other ingredients in wok and stir-fry for 2 minutes, add flavour to taste.
- Soup Noodles – Add dry vermicelli to boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Drain. Add the soft vermicelli to hot soup on slow heat for 2 more minutes. Add flavour and condiments to taste.
- Salad – Add dry vermicelli to boiling water for 4 minutes. Drain. Run under cold water to cool, drain. Mix the soft vermicelli to salad, add flavour and condiments to taste.
